Their products provide excellent results not only in cannabis cultivation but for those growing fruits and vegetables, so if you’re looking for the best way to use Top Crop products for any kind of plants, including cannabis and even autoflowers, this is just for you!

1. Pre-Amended Substrates

Apart from the fertilizers, Top Crop offers a couple of pre-amended substrates for those who don’t want to deal with pre-amending the substrate.

Top crop usage guide: pre-amended substrates

Pre-amended substrates are a great way to have a smooth vegetative phase, especially with autoflowers.

These substrates come 100% ready to be used out of the bag and are a great choice for those who are looking to have a smoother vegetative cycle, especially with auto flowers.

Complete Mix

The Complete Mix is a high-quality mix of coconut fiber, perlite, and vermicompost that promotes root growth, resulting in a better vegetative phase.

Micro and Macronutrients 3g/L
Leonardite 2g/L

This substrate contains everything your plants need for the first 3 weeks of life, allowing for better aeration and water retention, providing ideal conditions for roots to develop correctly.

Heavy Mix

Heavy Mix is a complete substrate with lots of quality nutrients for the vegetative stage, this mix of coconut fiber, peat moss, and black peat will most likely provide everything your plant needs during the whole vegetative stage, saving you time and effort.

Micro and Macronutrients 3g/L Bat guano 1.2g/L
Leonardite 2g/L Crushed volcanic gravel 0.6g/L

This mix has been designed to have the ideal particle size to retain water and thanks to the expanded clay and nutritional amendments, it will avoid compacting and help transfer nutrients from the environment to your plant, making it one of the best and most popular in the market.

Top Coco

Top Coco by Top Crop is a substrate made of 100% coco fiber, which, due to its spongy texture promotes oxygenation of the root zone. Proper oxygenation of the root zone is extremely important for plant growth as the roots need water but also oxygen in order to grow strong, healthy, and vigorous. This pH-neutral substrate also contains Leonardite in addition to a wide range of microorganisms to protect your plant’s roots from harmful fungi and bacteria.

Macro and Micronutrients 0.2g/L
Organic matter 81.8%

2. Solid Fertilizers

If you’re looking to grow 100% organically without much effort, Top Crop offers a complete line of solid fertilizers that can be used to make your own pre-amended or even top-dress your plants throughout your grow cycle.

Micro Vita

Micro Vita is a microbial life enhancer containing different beneficial fungi and bacteria that will protect the roots and allow them to develop to their maximum, with an NPK of 1-3-0. This supplement will aid in nutrient absorption and decomposition of organic matter by helping break it down while also containing the food they need to accelerate reproduction, filling your substrate with beneficial microorganisms almost immediately.

Top crop usage guide: substrates

Organic fertilizers promote a healthy soil with live microorganisms that help roots thrive!

 If you’ve ever heard of the term “rhizosphere” when researching cannabis and soil science, you’ll know how important microbes are to this habitat that surrounds plant roots. They work hard to release degrading enzymes that break down large clunky molecules into small segments of nutrients that plant roots can easily uptake. As well as working together with fungi and bacteria, cannabis plant roots also directly prey upon bacterial cells in the rhizosphere. Known as the process of rhizophagy (which literally means root eating), this phenomenon involves plant roots uptaking entire bacteria cells and stripping them of nitrogen, before releasing them back into the soil via their root hairs. So, as you can see, inputs such as Micro Vita are capable of feeding plants both directly and indirectly; they cover all the important bases.

Amino Perlas

Amino Perlas is a product rich in humic acids and amino acids which are released slowly and gradually as you water, thus improving the substrate and facilitating nutrient absorption while also improving soil structure and stimulating growth. Amino acids are absolutely key to all life on Earth—including cannabis plants. You can essentially view them as smaller LEGO blocks that are used to build more complex structures. After they enter the plant cells, they are placed onto an assembly line involving a specialized organelle known as a ribosome. Programmed by mRNA codes, this piece of cellular machinery assembles amino acids into larger proteins that are used to build plant structure and catalyze key chemical reactions.

Nitroguano

Nitroguango is a 100% natural chemical-free bat guano fertilizer that enhances substrates while boosting plant performance, enhancing plant growth, and increasing resistance against plant disease.

Nitrogen 3% Boron < 2ppm Manganese 150 ppm
Phosphorus 1.5% Copper 62 ppm Zinc 210 ppm
Potassium & Magnesium 0.5% Iron 13200 ppm Humic Extracts 1.3%

Guano works in a two-pronged fashion. Of course, it serves as a source of nitrogen for growing plants. As you’re probably aware, plants need nitrogen to fuel leafy growth, and high amounts of this element are especially crucial during the vegetative phase. Remember when we touched upon amino acids a second ago? Well, all of these molecules, despite their other functional differences, require nitrogen within their small molecular structures.

Superguano

Superguano is a product similar to Nitroguano, it’s a 100% natural and chemical-free bat guano that works as a cannabis plant enhancer; This product not only improves yield but also improves the flavor and aroma of the buds while also improving root growth and increasing resistance against plant disease.

Nitrogen 1% Magnesium 1.5%
Phosphorus 10% Iron 14000 ppm
Potassium   0.1% Manganese 3000 ppm
Calcium
> 30%

Top Vulcan

Top Vulcan is a 100% ecological volcanic rock powder rich in trace elements that are essential for all plants, including cannabis. This powder helps plants grow better in harsh climates and increases resistance against certain diseases while improving soil structure and providing a better use of macronutrients.

Calcium 930 ppm Magnesium 1280 ppm
Copper 51 ppm Manganese 540 ppm
Iron 30700 ppm Zinc 26 ppm

Top Tabs

Top Tabs is an organic/mineral product in tablet form which gradually releases nutrients throughout the plant’s growth cycle. Its formula contains optimal NPK levels with a mixture of microelements, combined with seaweed extract and magnesium to provide everything your plants need during the vegetative and flowering stages. This way, you don’t have to worry about mixing nutrients, all you have to do is water with plain water from seed to harvest. This product can be used in both coco fiber and soil, but remember to not use it for 15 days before germination!

How to Use Top Tabs

These slow-release tablets are extremely easy to use. All you have to do is add 1 Top Tabs tablet per 3-4 liters of substrate at around 10-15 cm deep (and as close to the walls of the pot as possible), making sure the tablets are around 10cm from the plant’s stem. Other than that, just water when necessary and the tablets will take care of releasing nutrients as you water, so remember that keeping the substrate moist is vital.

Make Your Own Amended Substrate

If you don’t wanna have to deal with mixing fertilizers when watering, here’s a quick and easy guide on how to make your own pre-amended substrate.

Top crop usage guide: your own amended substrate

Making your own pre-amended substrate is the best way to avoid overfeeding your autos.

Have in mind that for the pre-amended substrate, you will need the whole line of solid fertilizers.

Step 1 - Mix in amendments

For the first step, you need to mix in all the beneficial microorganisms and basic nutrients that your plant’s need to start developing green matter, so to make sure your plant grows properly, you’ll have to amend your substrate with the following:

  • Micro Vita: 0.2-0.5g/L;
  • Nitro Guano: 5g/L;
  • Amino Perlas: 3g/L;
  • Top Vulcan: 1-2g/L.

Step 2 - Re-amend substrate

Once your plant starts flowering, it will need an extra push so you can go ahead and feed the following as a top dress:

  • Super Guano: 0.2-0.5g/L (beginning of pre-flower);
  • Super Guano:  0.2-0.5g/L (Mid-flowering).

Extra tips

We recommend top dressing the Super Guano around the edge of the pot and gently mix it in with your fingers, also, it’s essential you check your plants every day.
