Each plant is stress tested for resistance. Around 50% won’t make it past this stage. From the ones that move forward, we evaluate structure and potency, and only at the end, the terpene profile.
If we are lucky, this entire run leaves us with 2–3 clones to keep working. Sometimes one. Sometimes none at all.
It’s always interesting to hear criticism from part-time breeders and full-time haters. I do wonder how much space they actually have for R&D. Can they afford to discard 100% of five months of work, spend thousands, fail completely, and then start from zero again?
Apparently, good storytelling, artificially limited stock and a podcast, can sometimes replace actual research.
